ISA Capital is a domestic holding company, organized as a limited liability company on April 28, 2006 and converted into a corporation on September 19, 2006.

The Company’s corporate purpose includes holding interests in other companies’ equity capital or in other ventures, as partner or shareholder, a joint-venture partner, consortium member, or under any other form of corporate cooperation.

The Company is currently a shareholder of CTEEP - Companhia de Transmissão de Energia Elétrica Paulista, a Brazilian public company and authorized electricity transmission concessionaire, and holds 55,924,465,821 common shares issued by CTEEP, equal to 89.40% of the latter’s voting stock and 37.46% of its total equity capital.

The Company is controlled by Interconexión Eléctrica S.A. E.S.P. (“ISA”), a mixed capital company headquartered in Colombia and controlled by the Government of Colombia, and which holds 59% of its total equity capital.  ISA’s key activity is the operation and maintenance of an electricity transmission network, in addition to undertaking activities related to electricity service provision.  In addition to holding interests in electricity transmission in Colombia, ISA also invests in Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia.

On September 29, 2006 the Company applied to the Brazilian Securities Commission – CVM (www.cvm.gov.br) for registration as a public company, which application was granted by CVM on January 4, 2007.
