CTEEP - Companhia de Transmissão de Energia Elétrica Paulista (www.cteep.com.br), is a public company and authorized electricity transmission concessionaire, having as key activities the planning, construction, and operation of electricity transmission systems, as well as research and development programs in connection with conveying electricity, and other activities associated with currently available technology. Its activities are regulated and inspected by ANEEL – National Electricity Regulatory Agency.

CTEEP operates, maintains, and expands its electricity transmission systems, seeking the business’s profitability by means of excellence in service provision, customer satisfaction, environmental sustainability, and adequate shareholder profitability, thus contributing to the community’s economic and social development.

CTEEP is responsible for a complex electricity network extending over a total of 11,964 kilometers in transmission lines, 103 sub-stations with tensions of up to 550 kV in the whole of the State of São Paulo, and 477 transformers in operation for a total of 40,342 MVA in installed capacity.  CTEEP also has available its own telecommunications system, composed of 145 microwave stations, 108 telephone exchanges, and roughly 1800 km of fiber optic cable.

With assets valued in the region of R$ 5 billion, CTEEP is said to be one of the best companies in the electricity sector, transmitting almost the whole of the electricity consumed in the State of São Paulo, 30% of all the electricity produced in Brazil, and almost 60% of the electricity used in Brazil’s Southeastern region.
